Cordless Tea Kettle
I LOVE MY CORDLESS TEA KETTLE
It's time to put your cordless tea kettle to work. Let's have some "Low" or "Afternoon Tea". Are you hungrier than that? Well we could have High Tea if you prefer. Let's take a look at both of them and you decide.
When the Duchess of Bedford got a 'sinking feeling' close to suppertime she instituted something called afternoon tea. The Queen soon caught on to the notion and was well satisfied with the idea. It wasn't long before she began to adopt the practice as well.
Afternoon or low tea is served around 4:00 pm and is served with light snacks to stave off that "sinking" feeling the Duchess was so worried about.
There is also a tea called "High Tea". This tea sounds very fancy, but you need not switch kettles for this one. Feel free to leave out your cordless, it will work just fine. The reason behind calling it "high" is because it is on a higher table instead of a lower table, such as a coffee table in a sitting room.
If you are invited for high tea, there is a greater likelihood that you will be eating a little later, approximately 5:00 or 6:00pm. You will also be eating a hot dish and heavier foods that will be more reminiscent of dinner rather than a snack like when you have low tea.
High tea is served even on farms and other working class environments. The delicious types of foods that you might enjoy while having high tea include; cold meats, eggs, fish, biscuits, cakes, sandwiches, pastries and fruit. Get your cordless tea kettle ready, it's time for tea.
